It’s great to be back. Feels like coming home. I would love to live here again.. if i didn’t have kids. With Anton it is absolutely the best to live in Sweden.
I’ve missed all my friends. A lot. So it’s great to get some time with them now.

A few new pictures…
July 20, 2010
Yeah there has been plenty of new pictures since my last entry, but I have had no time to do anything besides work and volunteer work for our swim team. We had Swedish Nationals here in Malmö last week and I was there working the meet. Lot os fun to see old friends and see new friends swim fast! I even managed to work out every day more or less, which has been good preparation for Masters World Champs in about two weeks from now. All I gotta go now is rest my tired body and I will swim fast in Göteborg!
Here are the pictures..

Trip down memory lane
May 20, 2010
I found some pictures the other day, from when I was working at Columbus Zoo.
I really enjoyed working there. I wish I could find a job like that here, but it is very very hard to get a foot in the door at Zoos and parks here. Anyways, I would like to share some pics with you:
Guess who’s back…
May 2, 2010
…back again. Maria’s back, tell a friend.
So yes, I am finally back posting after a long hiatus. I guess the move and everything took over. Plus, I don’t want this blog to become a must; something that I will feel guilt over if I am not posting updates. Days just fly by at an alarming pace right now. There is not much time to rest and just chill. I am longing for some lazy days… I think soon we will feel settled here in Bara. I do like it here a lot. There is just a lot to do still.
This past weekend we build a wooden deck. Well, my dad and Honza built it…. I just assisted some. It’s nice to finally have somewhere to sit outside that is not hardened clay or gravel. Here are some pics of the weekend project:
And for those of you that have been requesting pictures of the interior…
Once I get the place a little more in order I will make a picture tour. Stay tuned…
Anton’s first time at daycare
February 15, 2010
Today was Anton’s first time in daycare. He was a little shy at first (for like 30s!) but then he ruled that place!
As expected. Yeah we’re proud! Hehehe… We were there for an hour today so we could just meet everyone and see the place. They are 8 kids in total, and I can tell Anton is going to have a blast. He forgot about us after about 10 min and he as racing around checking out all the cool toys and talking to all the other kids.
He even went home with his first scar. He got so excited about a boat that they can play in that he ran too fast towards it, fell, and cracked open his lip. Crazy boy!
I don’t have any pics from this first time, but I do have some pics from this past Saturday when we were at a master’s swim meet in Lund (borrowed from simma.nu)
Wow… it’s been a very long time…
February 7, 2010
29th of November was my latest blog entry. Embarrasing. But you know what happened after that? I started my new job! It’s been a busy busy time ever since. And I had to get used to using my brain again! Other than to decipher Anton language
.
So lots has happened at the house of course. We are about one month away from moving now!! My dad, Honza, Honza’s dad, and myself have been working since mid-December with getting all the interiour walls ready and painted. My dad has done an exceptional job. He’s been working every weekend since December pretty much. Honza and Honza’s dad have done a great job too of course!
Anton is now a big boy.
He runs around like a madman here! He also ‘talk’ a lot. I claim it is Czech because I don’t understand him, and Honza’s family claims it’s Swedish because they don’t understand him.
Maybe he is speaking Danish? Danish TV has some good kids shows so maybe he’s picked it up there.
Anyways, here are some pics:
